I'm holding out for an IG-88 standalone.

If you are already at this point then I'm going to go ahead and say maybe you didn't like it a much as you think you did?

I meant the story. This film was perfect and hit every note perfectly.

It's all set up for what follows and it didn't feel like bullshit set up just to get to the good stuff

We've had the starter. The main is ahead of us.

Laugh it up but there was actual pressure to have gender quota addressed in these films.

This movie is gonna make so much money. It deserves to be up there with such cinematic greatness as Titanic and Avatar.

That was not a compliment.

I won't be able to say more until tonight but it was everything I needed it to be. Great characters, excellent action, and a very star warsy plot. Can't rank on one viewing but it hangs with the OT. A few very powerful moments

The original Star Wars is still the third highest grossing movie of all time when adjusted for inflation.

Ridley, Boyega, and especially Gleeson were all horrendous. Awful writing. Wonky pacing. Nothing but exposition punctuated by bangs and flashes, and it embraces the worst aspects of modern drama.

VERY easily the worst SW movie - as bad as the prequels were, at least they were imaginative and didn't just regurgitate the OT in the least exciting possible way. Corporate fanboy nostalgia has really hit a new low with this.
We were all waiting for this. Thanks for not disappointing.
