He's also a notoriously bitter and angry person who lords it up about his self perception as someone of importance. Cast and crews hated him in every setting over the years.

In the scene with Han and Maz she asks him who the girl is. The way it cut away makes it look like he knew who Rey was and went on to tell Maz.

That said there's no reason she can't just be a nobody/anybody found randomly. Anakin was found randomly by Qui gon. Yet It seems first trilogy about Anakin, second about his son & daughter, third about his grandkids?

Went into town grabbed a coffee at some place that was taking down scaffolding - dropping the metal framing - making a hell of a noise, took a good 10 minutes for the coffee, Little Rangi slept through it all. She would probably have been alright to take in hindsight.

When she force grabs the saber he says to her - "It IS you!"

Also Leia says that Snoke was whispering in Rens ear since he was a kid and that she tried to protect him from Snoke but to no avail.

Snoke also knows who Rey is.

The fact that she was such a natural pilot, knew her way around the ship, was kind of a smart ass in some regards, and her resistence to Ren's mind probe shit....I think she is in the family.

She's powerful. Luke couldnt get the Lightsaber to fly to him until empire! Rey did it here and that was awesome
