^I'm hoping there's no redemption. Han is possibly the most beloved Star Wars character there is, killing him has to have repercussions. He's doomed now, he has to die.

Well I've said it before but she's far more powerful than him and he knows it.
He just has more training. She totally owns him from the interrogation scene onwards by going into his mind and seeing his fears. He's unmanned completely. She's kicked his confidence into touch completely.
Big spoiler
And I only caught this on the last viewing but when they're fightin in the last scene when he offers to teach her the ways of the force, that's actually the moment something gets unlocked in her. I think she's been sealed by Luke but being in danger that word said in that context reallywakes her up

Yes, when Ren says "the force" that's when she awakens.dimejinky99 wrote:Well I've said it before but she's far more powerful than him and he knows it.

^Yeah I caught that when I was watching. It triggered something in her, she closes her eyes and takes a breath...its as though she's searching her mind for something she knows is locked deep in there.
If its done properly, the next one could be something special. So many story elements to explore.

Cool pic. But as we know from the prequels and as JJ has been saying a lot. The force isn't just for an elite few. Anyone can tune in and learn.

I wonder if she is the one who brings balance to the force. Luke is her father, but she has no mother....she's born from the force???dimejinky99 wrote:And when you see it again watch for her start to cry when Luke turns around!! And watch his face!

She gets very calm. The fear disappears. It's like....I got this!Daniel Bryan wrote:^Yeah I caught that when I was watching. It triggered something in her, she closes her eyes and takes a breath...its as though she's searching her mind for something she knows is locked deep in there.

Totally. It'd be hard to screw that up.
But she has no reason to cry. She's just been asked to deliver something to him. Why else would she cry except for the only reason possible. She knows him the minute she sees him.
Plus if you listens to Maz's convo with her, she says your family aren't coming back. Look ahead though and go find him.
Not what she says but it's what I took from it.
Unless we're being baited and there'll be a switch

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)
Update on this: it's estimated that TFA grossed $120 million domestically on Thursday/Friday, which breaks two records: largest Thursday-preview opening ever ($57 m) and largest one-day total ever ($120 m--keep in mind that for record keeping purposes, "one day" includes Thursday and Friday). Also keep in mind that these are estimates, and that these totals usually go up. Target to break the largest opening weekend ever is $208.8 m (Jurassic World). If I got another guess, I'd probably put it in Kaius' guess territory.Guesses for Opening Weekend US Domestic Gross:
strat - $2.5 b
ruddo - $325 m
CopperTom - $350 m
Kaius - $278 m
spike - $251 m
zeb - $250 m
Simple Torture - $245 m
lenny - $236 m
Argo - $230 m
stip - $211 m
Burt - $1 m

I mentioned this yesterday, but didn't recall the modulator.LetMeSleep wrote:During the flashback/forward, young Rey shouts Come Back (random PJ reference) and then you hear Ren's voice say "Quiet, girl".
edit: If not Ren then someone with a voice modulator.
That is definitely Vader.
