well I assume he thinks it'll bring his wife back from the dead.
Or getting to hear a song that means something to him personally from a band that he cares a lot about at a really difficult time could create a cathartic moment that helps make an impossible situation a little easier to deal with.
or worse. I wouldnt encourage it, or maybe recommend something else. its been a week. the reaction from the cult is just weird to me, not the guy.
edit: um... I dont want to talk about this anymore. surely there is something else we can bitch about. this is Pearl Jam after all. A hideous new hoodie, perhaps?

isn't NIN existing really just a question of what trent reznor wants to call himself?
NIN is an unfair comparison. When Trent wants to make a new NIN record he calls in people who care about making and make time for making a NIN record. The latter seems to be a luxury not afforded in the Pearl Jam world.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

He's essentially an employee of theirs, right? In that case, he kind of has to.
He has a pearljam.com email address, but he also runs a Sirius Grateful Dead channel, so I don't know how that relationship works, but he's clearly inner-circle-ish.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Maybe a reminder?
Is that anything like the May 17th Facebook Post?
Did you know that fan club members get first access to tickets before the public? Become a member today and be eligible for pre-sale ticket drawings. Might want to sign up sooner rather than later.... http://bitly.com/PJTenClub
