My ma died early hours Christmas Eve few years back. Force awakens has done a great job keeping me away from thinking about it all. Works for me on two big levels.

There are some articles floating around about the TFA novelization which clears up some things. Apparently the republic has a treaty with the first order, and has disavowed the resistence, which us much smaller than the first order
