It was my experience that the second viewing was better - easier to take it all in and enjoy the moment that make up the performances. Not that it wasn't a blast the first time
This really only applies if you were blinded by emotions the first time.

Thank goodness we have all these new characters and mysteries for Colin Treverrow to shit on, right at the end when it really, really counts.

I'm kinda shocked that only me and someone else voted that it was better than the PT, but not as good as the OT.

McParadigm's commitment to shitting on a movie he hasn't seen is pretty commendable

Turns out that even with 30 years of technological advancement, that it all it took was a couple of grenades tossed from a space plane to destroy the new death star.

So the majority really feel this feel is "as good as" Empire?

Technically it was the sun that destroyed the base

I mean, I didn't hate the film, but it's no Empire. Not even close. It's no ANH either. I can maybe see the case for it being on par with ROTJ though. That film had some serious flaws too. The rough drafts of the film and the original plan for the not so happy ending would have made the film possibly better than Empire. However, like with the prequels, the finished product that we got was a let down.

I think that vote reflects the 'this is as good as the original movies but I'm not ready to rank them' position
