Saw some fairly hot cosplayers last night. I may have taken it a bit to far when I reenacted a Jabba *licking* scene with a gold bikini clad Leia.

She didn't seem to mind though.

Why are the Star Wars movies on DVD nearly 3x that much on Amazon? Are the first 6 movies out of production or something? Is there a more direct source to buy from?

I only have the original trilogy on VHS.
Yes, the DVD-only trilogy is out of print and expensive, but you can buy the Blu-ray+DVD trilogy for $35.

I don't know if this qualifies as "awesomeness" but it's a good reference.

Here's a simpler answer. Just the watchable stuff in chronological order ...

Ep.1
Ep.2
Clone Wars Movie
Clone Wars Seasons 1-5 + unfinished season 6 (Netflix)
Ep.3
Young Han Solo Movie (2018)
Rebels
Rogue One (2016)
Ep.4-7

I do not appreciate you implying that Ep. 1 is in anyway watchable.

I also didn't include the Droids or Ewoks animated series, but those make even TPM look good.

Great. Now we have to wait three years. So I guess we can add Ep8&9.

It's a testament to the enduring visual design of the original Star Wars trilogy that in order to make "modern trailers" for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, all YouTuber Tom F had to do was employ some clever cuts and overlay the haunting music used in The Force Awakens' trailers. The results are slick two-minute teasers that look like they could genuinely be used as the opening salvo in one of Hollywood's modern hype campaigns — but there's one key difference.

Those are damn good. The ESB one was easily superior, much like the movie itself.
