McP makes some valid points about the OT character arcs, but are we not admitting to needing all three episodes to fully appreciate those characters' journeys without giving any of our new characters the benefit of doubt after getting one part of the new trilogy.

Vader was a one-trick pony in IV, but nobody would say that after seeing V and especially VI. Ren has gobs more depth than Vader did in ANH.
As long as Rey and Fin have notable, impactful character flaws going in, I'll be fine with that aspect of it.

She didn't even reach out to him!

I know, right?!
dimejinky99 wrote:Also, a scene was filmed of leia and Chewie consoling each other and a droid interrupts them and Chewie rips it's arm off in anger. But it was cut out cos Disney.
That would've been sooo much better!
dimejinky99 wrote:As bada said the thinking is Han and leia both know who she is (meaning Lukes daughter) and if you watch it again closely you can see a few moments where Han really does seem to know her. My theory is they don't tell her cos it's not their place to, they have to send her to find Luke so he can reveal that himself.
I got that feeling too but still, poor Chewie.

p.s. can you tell who my favourite character is?

I'm gonna (kind of) go out on a limb here and say that the OT and Episode I have arguably the best film scores ever composed.

after "feeling thru the force" Ren has killed Han, does General Leia hug Rey?? a girl she ostensibly has never met before, instead of Chewie, Hans partner for over 30-40 years??
Chewie deserves the sympathy!!

wtf Leia?!? Image
I thought the same thing, but someone said (maybe here?) that Chewie was tending to Finn.

As long as Han Solo doesn't die I'll be fine.

What was Xhewie up to while Han and Leia enjoyed domestic bliss? Maybe Chewie was pissed at her for breaking up the bromance and their adventuring.

Chewie has Mala and Lumpy to think of. If anything, Han finding domestic bliss was probably a real load off.

I think Carrie Fisher would love Leia being compared to Yoko.

About as confusing as why Poe and Finn hugged when they had known each other for a total of five minutes before Finn thought Poe died.
They had saved each other's lives, helped one compete a vital mission, and the other escape slavery but you are right. A chaste handshake would have been more appropriate. Or a slight nod of the head followed by a thank you card. I am not sure if the card should be handwritten or just have standardized text. I need to see it again to make up my mind

Lol. I love you

Also did anybody point out that LV said the new point break is better than the original?
