Why don't the X wings blow up Kylos big ship with the fins and the troop transports at the battle on Maz's planet?

That's gonna bug me.
Because they had Rey on that ship. Plus there were Tie fighters protecting it as it was leaving.

I watched this again today and noticed that when
Spoiler: show
Poe is being tortured
the lighting makes it look as though he has a moustache.

What does it mean?
