I'm more at peace with losses than I've ever been, but it turns out wins are still kinda fun. Who knew?

Fantastic experience at the Winter Classic! I was with my girlfriend and while we had Habs hats we aren't exactly loudmouth in-your-face kind of fans. We were both worried that things could go south if the game got out of hand one way or another. We celebrated the goals (so lots of celebrating) but it was respectful. There were a handful of idiots here and there....nothing like shouting obsenities at a family with small kids wearing Habs jerseys. Very classy. Otherwise just a few "fuck the Habs" or "go back to Canada" comments. My favourite was a guy getting right in my GF's face and screaming " I hate Habs fans. You don't even have a football team!"

Lastly, I've never been to a football stadium like Gilette Stadium before but our take was that it's poorly located, and the concourse areas are badly designed for that volume of people. It was impossible to get a beer and/or take a leak between periods.

Sounds like I didn't enjoy myself at all, but the outcome of the game and the overall experience made it all worthwhile. Been enjoying the rest of the weekend in Boston too. It's a beautiful city.

The worst. Even worse than hearing that song they play when the Bruins score a goal.
What a terrible choice. They were basically booed out of the stadium.

How did the American anthem go over? There was a lot of rumbling around here that the usual guy wasn't singing the song, and I thought I heard some boos on TV.

Yeah lots of boos for that she-man who sang the American anthem. People shouting "we want Rene".

yeah but the goal I'm talking about, he carried it from his own end, and he walked around, and out-skated two guys on the way, and then boom, he just buries it. When you see him power by plays on the other team you are like, wtf, that is amazing.
