dimejinky99 wrote:As was said about that theory in latest Jedi council, they'd have an awful lot of explaining to do if that were the case. At this point it's as almost as viable as the other big theories but it would really take up a lot of screen time and exposition to make that the case successfully.
Um...

"A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi knights. He betrayed and murdered your father. Now the Jedi are all but extinct. Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force."

What was that? 30 seconds of screen time?

I was bothered by all the continuity errors in the color & thickness of BB-8's antenna. It even switched back & forth in different shots in the same scene.

And does it eliminate Jar Jar while still making sense?

So do we all agree 7 is just the same movie with new characters? That was my main takeaway.

That said I had a great time watching it.

OK, this doesn't spoil at all. Dime is making leaps of logic from "Luke knows who Rey is." to "Rey is Luke's daughter."
Finally, the last scene in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. No words were spoken, however it was a scene that got us ready, or anxious to see what would happen next. I know a lot of people had a lot of questions regarding that sequence, so hopefully the following details from the official screenplay shines some light on things.

When Luke sees Rey for the first time, it says he looks at her with “a kindness in his eyes, but there’s something tortured, too.” As you might have wondered, it does reveal that he “doesn’t need to ask her who she is, or what she is doing here.” Either that could mean that they're connected through the Force, or that he’s seen her before. It also adds that “his look says it all”. Intriguing, right?

When Rey pulls out the lightsaber and holds it out to Luke, the screenplay says she's holding it out to him as an “An offer. A plea. The galaxy’s only hope.” Last but not least, it then reveals that, that confrontation is the beginning of a new adventure! “HOLD ON LUKE SKYWALKER’S INCREDIBLE FACE, amazed and conflicted at what he sees, as our MUSIC BUILDS, the promise of an adventure, just beginning…”

Rey
No way. (there's no way they would kill off her father, the best actor in the Star Wars universe, without that reveal occurring first)
Why? C3PO had one of the best, most genuine true to the character moments in the entire movie without feeling forced.

To Obvious she is Lukes

She fixes the falcon
Leia comforts her not chewy after Han dies
Ren offers to personally train her after being told to bring her to Snoke
There is a history of twins in the family
Upon hearing it was a girl that saved BB8 ren reacted

Luke recognised her/ lightsaber went her as she is the chosen one as opposed to Lukes daughter ??

Why did C3PO slap R2D2 when R2D2 woke up? What do you think R2D2 said to him?

I posted this in the Ep. VIII thread after it got buried here, but there's a well-supported theory that she's Obi-Wan's grand daughter.
