Should I keep my old bootleg cassettes?
When is it time to throw away my big box of old b&p bootleg cassette tapes?
Please, RM, help me decide. I'm purging, and have hesitated. I need your direction.

This sounds like a great use of time and that the results will be well worth itE.H. Ruddock wrote:Convert them to digital them offer them on torrent siteshlniv wrote:When is it time to throw away my big box of old b&p bootleg cassette tapes?

I gave mine to someone on this site years ago.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Honestly, you should go through them and be sure you don't have any alternate sources to those currently circulating. One of the major problems the PJ live community has is the blanket acceptance of current sources as the "best" - and yet, it seems like superior sources exist of a lot of shows. Like last year when a new, better source of 9/29/1996 was torrented.hlniv wrote:When is it time to throw away my big box of old b&p bootleg cassette tapes?

Most of your cassettes are probably garbage at this point but it's a good idea to check just the same.

Good idea. I'll briefly go through them one last time and see if anything strikes my fancy. Then it's the trash can

yeah man, they're all the rage right now. there's an entire "new release" cassette rack at my record store. they just reprinted Nirvana's Bleach. lots of smaller bands are doing cassette-only releases too. which is annoying, but whatever.hlniv wrote:Really? Really, some of you would be interested in 2nd+ generation cassette copies of pre-98 shows with shitty handwritten setlist labels?
