I just don't want her to be a Skywalker B/C that's such an easy answer.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

It would be very safe/disney. Which I fear is what we'll be getting with these movies.B wrote:I just don't want her to be a Skywalker B/C that's such an easy answer.

It's a soap opera revolving around the Skywalkers.

It was initially a dramatic journey involving a group of troubled characters who faced overwhelming adversity, overcame it, and grew into happier, more centered people. It wasn't until Lucas decided that the entire prequels had to be the Anakin Skywalker story that it became a longrunning Skywalker saga.LetMeSleep wrote:It's a soap opera revolving around the Skywalkers.
But I suspect that anybody who wants a trilogy about Luke's great grandson needs only to play the waiting game, and to continue to be boring.

Luke recognised her/ lightsaber went her as she is the chosen one as opposed to Lukes daughter ??
Extremely doubtful tbh.

I heard a theory today that she could be Poe's sister, and that Poe has force powers too demonstrated by his xwing combat abilities.

Am I on crack, or doesn't someone need to have Force powers/potential within them in order to actually use a light sabre? And yes I realize the force flows thru everything...Sgt. As a non-SW junkie I don't have every little detail memorized but my reaction to Finn wielding a light sabre was like "WTF?" because I thought only Jedi/Sith (or future Jedi/Sith) could use them.

Finn maybe Mace Windus son.
Would make more sense than Lando due to lightsaber ability

Poe is really good at x wings because Wedge was good and they needed another, more ridiculous Wedge.
Finn can wield a lightsaber because JJ Abrams didn't really give a shit.
Rey is Luke's kid because there are no original thoughts in this movie.
There is no hidden meaning here people.

Another plus for her being a Kenobi is that it enables the Kenobi v Skywalker battle to last 3 generations, and as long as we're on the same long story arc I like that kind of symmetry.

this also makes sense in the logic of the universe, assuming we abandon the jedi/senators can't love nonsense. Vader and the Emperor hunt down all the jedi. If the force runs strong within family bloodlines then it's not unreasonable to assume that they hunted down the families as well, and so the bloodlines of the only two jedi to survive the purge, both of whom were young enough to have families, would be the most likely to produce powerful jedi.

Well it's no simple. The new republic and its fleet have been destroyed. That leaves us with Leia leading a rag tag group, as with the originals.
Kasdan and Johnson have said the next film is all about Luke and Leia. This makes sense.
Rey bein leias daughter makes no sense whatsoever. And I think it's too much of a reach for her to be Obi wan's gand daughter(it's not possible time wise for her to be his daughter).
But it is his voice we hear in the vision...
