CHICAGO—Stressing that the movie “definitely had some cool moments,” local man Jeff Feitel, who saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens six times over the holidays, told reporters Monday that he thought it was pretty good. “I had a few issues with some stuff, but overall I thought it was a fun movie,” said Feitel, who over the past two weeks has cumulatively spent 14 hours and $87 attending screenings of the film, including multiple 3D viewings, a midnight showing, and an IMAX screening at 8:50 a.m. “I honestly thought the lightsaber battles were just so-so, but the reliance on practical effects was kind of awesome. If we see Episode 8 in 2017 and Episode 9 in 2019, with some spin-off films in-between, how long do you think it will be until we see a fourth trilogy (Episodes 10-12)? Disney is not going to want to turn off the money tap while it's flowing strong, but people will eventually lose interest in a new movie every two years. Maybe 2030?

I may not be the best test case (maybe I am) but as long as the product is good I'm not worried about oversaturation. A new star wars movie a year means you get two hours of new content every 365 days. One season of a TV show gives you what, 20 hours?

You'll see a new Star Wars movie once a year till you die. There might be the odd year where things get pushed around...logistics and such...but I'd get used to Star Wars.

Lucas had written right up to ep XII and handed the scripts to Disney as part of the handover. Apparently they burned those.

I have no doubt we'll get another trilogy after this. Although it could be a sequel to VI - IX, or a prequel set in the 30 odd years between VI and VII.

Just think of how much trouble the Galaxy could save itself at any point by just killing off the Skywalkers. They are the worst thing that ever happened to pretty much everyone else in that universe.

Qui Gon could have solved a lot of terrible problems by wasting that kid. And I don't just mean episodes 2 and 3.
