i think the Bucs still have a very small chance to make the playoffs but im pretty sure it would require them winning out, so all of the hope for the post season relies on tonight.
hopefully they have a good game, it would be awesome if Jameis could have a game somewhat close to the Philly game and have it be in Prime time

nope, im really hoping for a free agent or 2 and the whole draft class aside from an OL at some point to be all defense.
Jameis didnt look very good early, not sure if being in prime time for the first time got to him but he was over and under throwing a lot. Michael Clayton....i mean Mike Evans is still dropping passes that hit him right in the hands, but so are a lot of players, they said last night that the bucs have dropped 30 passes so far and i really hate that they Benched Doug Martin for fumbling again when at the time he was the only one moving the ball.
Yeah I forgot to mention Evans dropping the ball again. That dude sucks man. Winston was fine after the first quarter. I'm less and less worried about him and more and more concerned about that secondary.
Evans doesn't suck, but he definitely has drop problems. His athleticism is pretty high level. I like watching him, especially when his confidence is up. Drops by guys at his level is usually focus-related, ie. trying to do too much, and is fixable. Also, 58 targets in 4 games. Wowza.
Ok, doc and jw, what do they need to do in the offseason? My thoughts, of no particular importance/order:
Trade Glennon. Poor qb draft class may up his stock a little for teams in need, and there are plenty of them. Maybe for a veteran WR or DB?
Sign a decent DB, Cornerback specifically. Need help there but would rather have someone with at least a few seasons under their belt.
Draft pass rusher and/or DL. These positions can be filled in draft quicker than some of the more "skill" positions.
Send Mike Evans to some kind of pass catching clinic. He cost the Bucs at least one game this year with his drops.
Don't try to bring in some unproven/rookie kicker. Just stick with Barth for crying out loud. There is another game lost because of that stupid kicker they had at the beginning of the season.
Figure out the Martin/Sims situation. The easy answer is keep Martin, but whenever Sims touches the ball good things happen. Also, he is a good ball catcher and doesn't seem to fumble as much as Martin. I would actually be ok with trading Martin and getting something big for him. Sims is the real deal.
Make sure Sefarian-Jenkins is locked up. If he can stay healthy he is a huge benefit to Winston.
I'm about at the point to think we should ship off ASJ and Evans for draft picks. They both have great physical traits but they both lack plain old grit and neither have the mental and emotional maturity to be a star and due to these negatives they cause huge issues with child like outbursts on the field.
Not to mention ASJ has a habit of alligator arming passes on the seam route which should be his bread and butter. ASJ had that one great catch on the 1 yard line and promptly spiked the ball and sent the team back to the 20 yard line. Not to mention that perfect throw up the seam yesterday to him that he just watched instead of extending his arm to at least knock it down. So angry. Evans, guy can't jump and fight for a pass and he just drops way too many easy passes. I'm just sick of those two bitch ass players. Complete joke. Evans lead the league in drops and penalties at the WR position. Fuck that guy.
Anyway, bucs need another guard and a right tackle. One more serviceable DE and at least one corner that knows how to play fucking zone coverage. A safety that can play deep coverage would be nice and one can dream that it will happen.

Big fan of the combo. It would be nice if one of them had game breaking ability - both get hawked down when they break into the second level. Good, tough and sometimes brutal running from both and sims ability as a receiver is a huge boon to the offense. Not sure if the bucs will keep martin though. Price has to be right. Only one playoff team has a running back with a 1,000 yard season so the value is not present for a big contract.
As for freeman. just sad and amazing. sad at what a waste he has been. If freeman had winston's mental ability it would be scary. It's amazing he threw a td though good for him.
I know the Bucs have the cap space, but with Martin being a free agent, I'd rather they let him see what he can get elsewhere before offering him anything.
They potentially have some money to spend in free agency and could beef up their defense and/or OL that way. I think they have something like 50 million in cap space.

For sure. They should be very busy but hopefully very careful. Tons of money to play with but I prefer relying on the draft. It's the best way to develop a unique team identity. It's so easy to bust on free agency.
