I'm kind of shocked by much I like his show. Even though I enjoy his interviews, I tend to find him, as a person, to be rather unbearable and, frankly, uninteresting. Like most, I skip his opening monologues. Yet he still managed to make an engaging, unique, insightful show. I don't get it.
watching season 3 now. loving it so far.

I signed up for howl premium so that I could listen to hardcore game of Thrones. This guy's Dan carlin impression is pretty dead on and it's full of good information.

Anybody keeping up with Serial? We did the first episode, but find the whole Bergdahl story fairly one-dimensional and uninteresting. Plus we have to listen to Sarah Koenig. Does this season get any better?
Three episodes into Serial. My wife fell asleep a few times (we were in the car). I find it interesting, but it's not even close to the same level as the first season.

Gonna check this out. He was on the Dan Patrick podcast a month or so ago and was pretty solid.

I can't seem to get out of Serial's orbit.

I've devoured Undisclosed. I've been keeping up with Truth & Justice. And now I'm listening to Crime Writers On... Serial.

It's madness!

I have to check those out! Litening to Serial Season 1 on my drive back to Minnesota was a blessing to pass the time. Is season 2 any good?

I'm in love with season 2. It's a totally different kind of story but I think it's engaging. Sarah K is just so fucking good at what she does.

If you liked Serial and find yourself wanting to know more about Adnan and what's going on in his appeals process and whatnot, I highly recommend Undisclosed. It's more biased, as one of the founders and hosts is Rabia (friend of the Adnan's family and featured in Serial). She's obviously a huge Adnan activist.

Undisclosed doesn't have the production values (the first episode is hard to listen to, really). But they figure it out as they go and it gets better and better. There are some huge "bombshell" type moments as well. Really interesting if you're interested in the legal stuff. It's basically a sort of an investigation for the defense kind of thing.

I started up You Must Remember This - Hollwood - Charles Manson. I need to revisit that and finish it. Pretty crazy to hear some of these stories especially his relationship with Dennis Wilson.

Did you ever see... there was a made for tv movie about the Manson Family that strongly featured Dennis Wilson. It was so weird.

So crazy. This documentary discussed how any time they would give him an opportunity to record he would completely blow it. He had no idea how to perform in a studio, or record, and was unable to follow any direction. How he'd walk in with his entourage of women and they'd all be mind washed and under his control not to speak unless they were praising him. He could only play a handful of chords and would completely expose himself when attempting to jam with these more professional musicians.

See, this is all news to me. What's this doc you watched?
Sorry, podcast. You Must Remember This - Hollywood - Charles Manson.

This podcast also supposes that Dennis Wilson's deteriorating alcoholism and depression was linked to his involvement with Charles Manson.
