That's not necessarily my complaint. Mine is strictly a cost benefit analysis. When I switched back to PCs a comparable machine made by Apple cost 3 times as much. I get the convenience and stuff just works, but I don't think Windows is so bad that it's worth paying triple to avoid using it. And since I switched back (2008ish), Windows has improved exponentially.Birds in Hell wrote:I know it's kind of a cliche at this point but their stuff just works - in my experience, anyway.Strat wrote:Apple is awesome and easy and if you dont get it then you are just stuck in your ways as well.
Bozos who complain that Apple is for idiots because you can't endlessly customise eight million different things are kind of missing the point. There are probably more nuanced complaints but that's the main thing I've had people yammer at me about, "yeah, but can your iPhone do this? I can change these icons, see!"

Sure they are more expensive, but i went through so many PC's compared to how long my macbook's have lasted that ive actually saved money since the switch.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
If you haven't used windows since before Windows 7 it's probably worth looking at again.
Also, it's a lot easier to mitigate malware/viruses now than it was in the XP days.

This is so much worse than an actual album thread.
Which is quite an accomplishment.

I was in the absolute worst back-left handicapped seating for that show, and the sound in those seats was total chaos. Anybody could have been playing. I listened to the boot once, and it could have been a completely different show for all I knew.Strat wrote:In my whiskey haze last night, i watched most of the 1998 Minneapolis show.

I was at the Rapid City (wtf) show before that, where the venue might as well have been a large club, and it was magnificent.

Yes, I find Windows 10 pretty much incomprehensible.Strat wrote:I have a PC at work and updated windows and all that jazz. Still dont like it.cutuphalfdead wrote:If you haven't used windows since before Windows 7 it's probably worth looking at again.

7 is the gold standard but 10 is better than 8 and still probably second best overall.Birds in Hell wrote:Yes, I find Windows 10 pretty much incomprehensible.Strat wrote:I have a PC at work and updated windows and all that jazz.
