How'd I miss this til now? Though it was released in April, I had no idea about this record until yesterday. It's fantastic.

Easy top ten of the year. Want to say I posted it in some hilariously milquetoast rm rap threads a few months back.

Its a great a record. The LP came with a download for thr instrumentals. Killer.

Didnt you get to see him recently?

What did you think of his last few, Spenno? I love Ghostface, and have always found there to be at least 2-3 killer tracks on all of his albums, but the last few (Big Doe Rehab, Ghostdini Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City, and Apollo Kids) I've found more or less pretty disappointing, so I've held off on getting this one. Is it significantly better?

I'll admit I haven't really kept up with Ghostface's post-Fishscale output so I can't make any very insightful comparisons, but this is excellent. As SNC said above, definite "top 10" material.

I did indeed see him last year sometime with MF DOOM. As much as I really enjoy some of his work, DOOM was rather unremarkable live (though at least it was actually him.) In comparison, Ghostface was a party.

Yeah, I could understand sleeping on some of the earlier records, but shit, ghostface and dude who scored black dynamite? Sold.

They all had worthwhile moments; "Apollo Kids" is actually pretty solid all the way through, I'd say, but something about it feels kind of routine and uninspired. I'm still not really sure what to make of "Wizard of Poetry."

This thread is all the endorsement I need to check the new one out.

i suspect my route to this record was a bit different than most or all of you- i am not really familiar with most wu tang solo projects but i loved adrian younge's 'black dynamite' soundtrack and have followed his output since. if you like what he's done here, i can recommend the black dynamite and delfonics albums to check out first.

here's a youtube playlist of some stuff

I need to sit down with this and listen to the whole thing, I've enjoyed what I've heard so far.
