I just reread McP's posts over the last few pages. But I read them as friendly or charming instead of hostile and snarky.
Man...
I really fucked that up. Again, my sincere apologies, McP.

A billion people in China.
The biggest opening weekend there, for anything ever?
$392 million.
Peanuts given the population.
Collider movie talk says it's being hugely pushed by Disney in China. All the cast sent for the premieres etc.
We'll see.

So it'll probably hit $2 billion by the end of its run, but it won't touch Avatar.

What was so huge about Avatar when it came out? I dont remember much of that time period. Why was it such a smash?
