The biggest opening weekend there, for anything ever?

$392 million.


Peanuts given the population.

Collider movie talk says it's being hugely pushed by Disney in China. All the cast sent for the premieres etc.

Yeah It's absolutely huge in Japan. But not China.

Hasn't opened in India yet either.

Different currency values at the time and cinema was a lot cheaper. It'll overtake it In time I'd say

What was so huge about Avatar when it came out? I dont remember much of that time period. Why was it such a smash?
