Yeah, I don't really get my Chicago/Midwest family who seem to put more stock in that one Bears championship than Jordan's run.verb_to_trust wrote:As if that horse hasnt been beaten to death enough....
I realize it's "football > basketball" for many people and there were a lot of great personalities on the Bears team but still... Jordan is the single greatest sports star ever (well, him or Ali) and that 10-loss Bulls team was better than the '85 Bears.
There just seems to be a crazy amount of nostalgia around that Bears team that I don't really get. And it's really only gonna get worse when Ditka dies.

Jordan also turned his back on Chicago whereas the 85 Bears players embrace it.turned2black wrote:Yeah, I don't really get my Chicago/Midwest family who seem to put more stock in that one Bears championship than Jordan's run.verb_to_trust wrote:As if that horse hasnt been beaten to death enough....

Mongo still does radio before the games. Though isn't much coherent.verb_to_trust wrote:Are any of the 85 guys still coherent? McMahon needs an assistance animal to help him get back to hotel rooms I heard recently?
Danimal does radio spots as does Thayer and Hilgenberg.
FRidge just went into the hospital
Leslie Frasier is down in TB as DC, but I'm not sure that counts as coherent.
Duerson....

Not at all surprising, but it will still be odd to see him in a different uniform. So, where does Forte end up? A playoff contender, surely.
