Re: NBA Thread
There are a lot of "clutch" stats floating around using different formulas, but generally they all say Dirk, LeBron, Allen and Duncan are the most clutch players in NBA in the last 15 years and, to nobody's surprise, Westbrook is one of the worst.

He made some terrible plays in crunch time against the Lakers the other night. He's made a career out of terrible crunch time play. I'd guess that half of his turnovers are made in the 4th quarter.verb_to_trust wrote:He made some terrible plays in crunch time against the Lakers the other night. How does Kobe not make that list?turned2black wrote:There are a lot of "clutch" stats floating around using different formulas, but generally they all say Dirk, LeBron, Allen and Duncan are the most clutch players in NBA in the last 15 years and, to nobody's surprise, Westbrook is one of the worst.

Again, there are a ton of these stats around, but most show Kobe's FG percentage fell during "clutch" time. And he actually shot less than 25% in his career with 10 seconds or less remaining in the 4th in the playoffs.zeb wrote:How does Kobe not make that list?turned2black wrote:There are a lot of "clutch" stats floating around using different formulas, but generally they all say Dirk, LeBron, Allen and Duncan are the most clutch players in NBA in the last 15 years and, to nobody's surprise, Westbrook is one of the worst.

(I appreciate that I'm ignoring the '15 year' caveat there).

Well, we already spent several pages debunking the "Reggie was clutch" myth.

Re: NBA Thread
I assumed that was '95 when the Pacers won. Regardless, doesn't make him any less clutch though.
