Grey Worm

Grey Worm is an Unsullied purchased by and sworn to Daenerys Targaryen. He is the commander of Daenerys's Unsullied and one of her trusted advisors. He is stocky, of medium height and square. Unsullied training starts at age 5 and is from dawn to dusk. It is brutal, designed not only to teach them how to fight, but to strip away all individuality, empathy, and self-worth. Only one in three survive, and those that fail at any stage are killed. They fight in formation as light infantry, equipped with short spears, swords, round shields, and distinctive spiked caps. They fight fearlessly and obey without question.
Grey Worm’ gives this one pride. It is a lucky name.

VS
Bronn

Bronn is a low-born sellsword of great skill and cunning. Bronn has a lean, wolfish appearance, with dark hair, dark eyes and a stubble of beard. Bronn supposedly had a rough childhood and killed for the first time before the age of twelve.
She had seen Bronn fight on the high road; it was no accident that he had survived the journey while other men had died. He moved like a panther, and that ugly sword of his seemed a part of his arm. – thoughts of Catelyn Stark

I'm gonna need some of you expert fuckers to give me more reason to vote for Bronn. Seems like a middling character that became a fan favorite because of the show's portrayal. Does he even do anything in the books after fighting for Tyrion? I think of him as a bark bigger than bite kinda guy, a scum bag who will fight dirty but that doesn't mean he could beat an Unsullied.
Leaning Grey Worm for real on this. Tell me why I'm wrong.

Because of Catelyn Starks impression of Bronn as a fighter is good analysis. And recall the shadow war the sons of the harpy wages against Daenerys in Meereen, it demonstrates that the Unsullied aren't the best at hand to hand combat where unit discipline isn't a big deal.durdencommatyler wrote:I'm gonna need some of you expert fuckers to give me more reason to vote for Bronn. Bronn has certainly been upgraded in the HBO series, but I still think he is a somewhat high-level swordsman based off of his wins over legit knights of big houses.
He will fight dirty, and he definitely has the experience advantage as a one on one fighter, but i do think we are underselling Grey Worm.

Honestly, we do not know much of Grey Worms ability in the books.
We know the Unsullied chose him as their leader once freed. We know that they basically don't feel pain or fear and are as disciplined as it gets. Yes, they are designed to be an impenetrable force as an army, but that doesn't mean they can't handle business mono y mono. Ambush attacks by the harpy hardly discredits Grey worms ability.

He volunteers to fight the champion of meereen before anyone else in the show (books also? Can't recall). He also does very well with Jorah and Daario when they are outnumbered in their sneak attack on Mereen. I can't remember how that went down in the book.

Bronn plays on the emotions and honor of knights with unconventional and sometimes dirty tactics, but is that shit even going to register against the BEST unsullied fighter?

This is the best match so far. I don't think it's an easy call myself.

Yeah, I think this one is tricky.
My gut is telling me Grey Worm. But so many here seem convinced its Bronn. I just don't see it as an easy call.

Grey Worm is a grade-A badass in my mind. It's been a while since I've read any of the books but for whatever reason I think of him as damn near unstoppable. That's partly why I didn't like how easily they took him down on the show. I thought that was bullshit.

Grey Worm.
Bron does well, but how many high profile targets has he killed or gone toe to toe with?
