Luke: Did Han or Leia ever tell you what happened to your father?
Rey: No.
Luke: I am your father.
Rey: :3
Maybe they should just fuck with everyone and rejoin this story 3 years later and Rey and Luke talk about who she is like they both know because they talked about it, but they never say it explicitly.

That's also a possibility. Leave everyone hanging further.

Itd be weird in many ways to have an I am your father moment but the whole pattern has been echoes to the past and rhyming with the past and Kennedy has said its the story of family and *that* family but to leave it hanging further l, maybe towards the end of episode 8, is a gold mine of possibilities.

I can see her going dark side out of anger for being abandoned.

Well you brought it up but in an unusual sense of foresight, your theory is as valid at this point, as any.

This movie needs to have about 1000% percent more Obi-Wan than the last one.

I only watched these movies in the last few weeks and I watched fan edits of the prequels (which I feel like greatly improved the experience) and the character I connected with the most was Obi-Wan by a mile.

Growing up I wanted to be Obi Wan. He's always been my all time favorite character in the Star Wars universe.
