there is no way the mystery as mystery can live up to 4 years of internet speculation so the reveal moment better be part of a really impactful scene
I'm continually fascinated how The Writer's Guild sets its requirements and how things are credited.
For example, Andrew Kevin Walker did tremendous re-writes on Fight Club (according to Fincher). The WG wouldn't allow him credit on the script though. They have so many weird rules. So Jim Uhls is the only one credited in the film. Finch was bothered by it so he named the three previously nameless detectives (who threaten to cut off Norton's balls) Andrew, Kevin and Walker respectively so that his name would appear in the credits somewhere.

DcT, Fight Club is one of the films I use when I teach Politics and Film. I pair it with Susan Faludi's Stiffed, which is the best book on feminism I've ever read (in part because it starts from the standpoint of trying to understand where the hostility to it comes from). Given how much you like fight club I think you'd love this book (it's one of the smartest things I've ever read, period)

It's highly readable but the larger argument is extremely nuanced. It's one of the most challenging texts I've ever taught.

After I start reading it, I'll start a thread so we can discuss.

interesting idea for episode 8.
There's a bounty out on Finn for going awol and Benecio del Toros character is a bounty hunter out to find him.

Oh man, the thought of bounty hunter Del Toro under the direction of Johnson just might be enough to get me mildly excited for this movie.

Johnson managed to extract a compelling performance from modern-day "just give me my fucking paycheck" Bruce Willis. And I really, really, really love Benicio Del Toro.

I just love that idea of him being abounty hunter. It makes sense and he is about as badass sly as you get.

I badly want a whole movie of Benicio Del Toro giving the performance he did in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Just as you don't hire Rian Johnson to write a happy film, you don't hire del toro to be anything except a baddie.
