What are you currently watching on TV?

I wanted something lighter after watching "Making a Murderer", so the kids and I are watching the new "How to Train Your Dragon" series on Netflix. It's very enjoyable so far.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Finished S2 of Transparent last night. Even better than the first season. It's interesting to see how the Pfefferman kids are having their individual reactions to their Mappa's transitioning. And there is some brilliant work done with flashbacks to a previous generation of Pfeffermans. Much of the season deals with how one's sexuality and gender is so deeply-rooted, and the whole show deals with this concept just beautifully. Note-perfect from top to bottom.

Since having kids, the only thing we've really been able to watch on TV are cooking shows, home improvement shows, and sports.

All things that you can walk away from for 5-10 minutes and come back to. Really can't watch any series where you have to see/hear everything that happens.

About once a week we've been able to squeeze in an ep of Making A Murderer. Got 2 left to go.

Oh, wait, we also finished Master Of None. Not bad.
