Browsing reddit I found this great solo picture of Maeby from the Season 4 premiere.

They should be protecting Lucille. They've both got thick arms.

I think it's interesting that
Spoiler: show
Linsey sure is getting sexed a lot this season, where in the first 3 seasons, she got laid like twice.

This made me chuckle.

“There was going to be a joke in the story line where George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) has this land in Mexico… and they were going to be constantly sort of spooked and chased off the land by these really handsome men,” revealed Hurwitz. “And it’s like, ‘Who are these guys? Who are these Mexicans that keep trying to get us off their property?’ And at one point they were going to say, “We are the Mexican Romneys!’

I've finished season three. So far, season two is my favorite. Though, I really liked the over the top and ubber self aware save our bluths episode, and the finale was really nice.

I like season four a lot, so far. The second episode was stupid, but the rest of it I'm into.

I watched the Maeby episode today; little disappointed I've only got three new ones left.
Season 4 has had it's rough spots, mostly early on, but it's really coming together nicely as I wind them down. More and more I realize the logistical nightmare of getting the season planned out and shot.

The map of Mexico might be my favourite callback joke of the whole season.

Hey guys. Mitch Hurwitz did an AMA on Reddit. Lots of interesting information, including future plans for AD.

I thought the revelation that Sally Sitwell has never shaved her legs was hilarious, but they unnecessarily pushed it too far by having her eyebrow fall off-not funny. This fourth season (I only finished a few days ago) was OK, on par with how good AD is seasons 1-3. I've recently realized that that isn't very good. The GOB and George-Michael bits were my favorite.

I don't know if this is because I just watched the entire show for the first time, but I'm sensing a pretty steep drop-off in quality with the new season as far as the humor is concerned. I like how the stories seem to be intertwining, and everybody's still very much true-to-character (even though it's a little jarring at first how much older everybody looks... except for Gob). I just find it a lot less funny. To me, it feels like really good fan-fiction.
I tend to agree with Jorge about season 4 to an extent. I was entertained and the interweaving of the plots was incredibly well done and entertaining, just the jokes themselves were a little sparse.

I'm hoping a rewatch will improve that for me. I'd also like to binge watch instead of stretching it out somewhat like I did.

I think the reason a lot of people felt a percieved quality drop off during the first few episodes of season 4 is because the writers were using those episodes to set up jokes and running gags that pay off later in the series. This is a new format and people were more or less expected to binge on the whole season in a short period so they didnt have to rely on repeat/recall gags as much.

Cracked.com had an interesting article that explores why some people didn't like the new season, and why those people are wrong.

One of my biggest laughs for some reason came from John Beard muttering "Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?" under his breath before busting Tobias.

I liked Grantland's description of Buster:

"He is barely a Bluth at all, a poster child for fetal alcohol poisoning in the best way possible".

I may need to re-watch but I remember being disappointed in his episode, though I did enjoy the extended montage with his mock mother.

The Buster episode is pretty solid. I was afraid it was it was going off the rails with the hand/army retread, but they pulled it off. Biggest laughs of the season for me, so far.
