Re: Star Wars: The Prequels
Someone who worked on Episode III called into the Star Wars Minute podcast this week (since they're covering the introduction of of midichlorians this week) to tell a story about making the movie. Apparently, he and a few other production assistants asked Lucas, "Why don't you talk about the midichlorians in the other movies?" And his answer was, I guess: "Well, maybe the Jedi were wrong." It's a small point, and really just another ret-con, but it's how I feel like the idea should have been handled (i.e., that the Jedi weren't so sure about it), so really just an interesting factoid.

Re: Star Wars: The Prequels
I want to know how microscopic beings that live in our blood (Quigon in phantom menace) *huge logic gap and even bigger leap of faith storytelling gap* connect and bind the entire universe...the ship, the rock, the tree (Yoda in empire strikes back)
Lucas really didn't think any of this midiclorian thing through...PS the jedi were wrong..several times..didn't see Palpatine rising for what it was nor saw what was going to happen to Anakin and nipped it in the bud mad early..and the really should have saw the former in time to prevent it.
