Re: mad men
No joke. These last four (maybe even five) especially. One of the strongest runs I can remember in the entire series.Monkey_Driven wrote:This season is really in a groove now.

Controversial opinion alert:
Mad Men was just as good as GOT last night.

Re: mad men
Mad Men is probably the best show I've ever seen. Game Of Thrones is also amazing. I'd say second only to Mad Men as far as shows currently running.WtOB? wrote:I think Mad Men is a much better show.Monkey_Driven wrote:Controversial opinion alert:

Yeah, I thought about it before I posted. But ultimately, I stand by what I said.Monkey_Driven wrote:*cough Breaking Bad *coughdurdencommatyler wrote:Mad Men is probably the best show I've ever seen. There are a few things I don't like about Breaking Bad, or at least there are in the first couple of seasons.Monkey_Driven wrote:*cough Breaking Bad *coughdurdencommatyler wrote:Mad Men is probably the best show I've ever seen. This last episode was one of my favorites in the entire series. Everyone's character choices were pitch perfect. Loved it.

Yeah, this season has been lights out. I'm beyond impressed. I never would have guessed the show would still be this strong. It's magical how they've managed to maintain this level of artistic achievement through six seasons.

Re: mad men
It's going to be quite a treat to watch the whole series again after next season to see how the decade and characters changed. I love how the outside world is becoming so loud. Last season seemed foreboding and claustrophobic but they can't keep out the social/political/world noise anymore.durdencommatyler wrote:Yeah, this season has been lights out. I'm beyond impressed. Hey, M_D, have you been following any of the theories and speculation floating around the interwebs? Specifically, those regarding Megan Draper?Monkey_Driven wrote:It's going to be quite a treat to watch the whole series again after next season to see how the decade and characters changed. A little. I'm not really buying it. It's probably a red herring. You can call me Alex by the way.durdencommatyler wrote:Hey, M_D, have you been following any of the theories and speculation floating around the interwebs? Yeah, I feel the same way. But I do think the choice to have her in that iconic Sharon Tate tshirt was really interesting; even if it was more of a political statement that a prophecy or foreshadowing.
I love the details on this show. Just outstanding. From art direction to costumes to props to scenic design to direction to writing. It's one of the best things I've ever seen.
