Action Figures
Alright, who wants to trade me their original first issue Chewie?
I'll swap it for either a repro 2000 era Leia and Luke medal ceremony edition still in packaging, it my JarJar toothbrush, still in packaging (slightly burned).

Man, I used to have all the originals. But not in the packaging, I played with them until they were faded.

My favorite was the Dagobah swamp home of Yoda with the little spongey trap that was supposed to be the marsh that luke was sinking in.

I still have that in a box at my parents house. That was a great playset.
I had an At-At too.

Re: Action Figures
It MIGHT have been the big monster inside the crater that they landed the Falcon inside of, and flew out to escape just in time before it snapped them up.tragabigzanda wrote:Funny, I dint remember ever seeing a Sarlacc toy.Bammer wrote: The big sand monster that digests you for a thousand years
Both were larger versions of the monsters from Tremors, right?

Re: Action Figures
The Sarlacc was a hole in the ground with tentacles coming out. Until the Special Edition of RotJ. Then they changed the creature to look more like the plant from Little Shop Of Horrors.Bammer wrote:It MIGHT have been the big monster inside the crater that they landed the Falcon inside of, and flew out to escape just in time before it snapped them up.

I don't remember an original 80's Sarlacc pit playset. There may have been one but I don't remember it. I know there was Jabba's Palace playsete and Jabba's Sand Barge (the thing they fight on above the Sarlacc pit) playset. I had both of those and I still see them all the time in toy stores, vintage shops, and flea markets.
Though, I do think they made a Sarlacc pit playset after the Special Editions were released. I want to say it was part of their Legacy toys which would have been around... 2008? I could be wrong about that. But I do remember something like that around that time.
I don't remember an Exogorth (worm monster from Empire) playset either.

Re: Action Figures
Yeah. There were no Sarlacc sets back then. 2008 was the first time the Sarlacc was included in anything. The Skiff was a set but no Sarlacc.

Re: Action Figures
I had the Falcon, land speeder, Death Star, and Slave 1. And that imperial trooper transport that was not in the movies. I really wanted the AT-AT but never got one. Still disappointed by that.
I got a dewback, tauntaun, and wampa. But the best “creature” was the original Jabba, with Salascious Crumb.
