I'm gonna to try and make a point of not watching it, because the backcountry already wears on my mind, sometimes.

I've been meaning to watch this. Now I'll definitely check it out. Dev - shall we

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

You could also watch Old Joy to introduce a more tender element to this trip.

I watched Being John Malkovich today for like the first time in forever (probably the first time in 8-10 years?) and was just blown away by it. I can't believe how much of it I forgot.

If the baby takes a good nap in the afternoon, I'm going to try and watch The Revenant as well!

I have problems with some of the writing, but as a whole package the good outweighs the bad. It's a solid movie.

I would do it, but I'm not sure what my availability will be this summer. Doubt I drive to Colorado again.

Is it worth it to buy movies on Blu-ray? I've got hundreds of DVDs I never watch anymore since most look like garbage, and I was considering getting some of my favorite movies on BR, but was wondering: are they just going to be obsolete in a few years?

I love Blu-ray to death. The next format is 4K Ultra Blu-ray, but I question how much traction it's ever going to gain (Blu was like 30x the resolution of DVD, whereas 4K is only 4x the resolution of Blu). With how cheap Blu-rays are now, it's definitely worth it to upgrade at least your favorite movies that you know you'll revisit. It's a very big change in quality.

I just watched this for the second time, and I still really loved it. I realized that a lot of it's charm and vitality simply come from this being maybe the perfect role for Jason Schwartzman. I seriously love that guy.
i thought the same about both him and adam scott
