I'm sure they'll get down there soon dude.

I was talking to someone about this last weekend. As much as the Horse shows were ridiculously good, we agreed the LeNoise shows were a bit better. Something about him being up there alone, plus we really liked the Le Noise record.

I like "Le Noise" a lot too. It's definitely one of those albums that feels more canonical now that it's been followed by two smoking hot, kickass Crazy Horse albums.

I love that you're doing all those random songs off Re-ac-tor.

Yeah, we have a lot of songs. We had to eliminate a lot of the old songs to make way for new ones. Let me ask you a question. What do you think the people would rather hear: the new ones or just a show of the old stuff?

Unfortunately, I think most fans just want the old stuff. People react stronger to material they know, and it reminds them of their youth.

Right. Well, it's funny. In the middle of that five-song barrage [of obscure older songs] that Neil laid on us we took a little break and I heard someone in the audience yell out, "Play something we know!" [Laughs]
This is a such a good read. I was at the Melbourne show when he pulled Love to Burn out as the second song after opening with Powderfinger and no one could remember how to play it. Funny stuff.

I could take or leave Phish but that "Albuquerque" cover is pretty nice.

I just found a 2nd hand copy of Time Fades Away on vinyl at the local record store. The record is in immaculate condition too. I'm pretty happy about that.

This album should really get the remaster and reissue treatment.

It already did. It was released as a promo and then cancelled. There's really no need to seek out the vinyl unless you're a pussy about having something in FLAC only.

Well if you're going to be a pedantic flog bag perhaps I should spell it out that as an obvious extension of the remaster and reissue comment it would be nice if it was readily commercially available. Geezus.

A good 12 years after my first Crazy Horse experience, last night I went to my second.
Still searching for words...the man is a legend. Yes..the show was really sloppy at times....the horse is getting old and even more rusty....but what an energy. Im not a religious person but I felt like I went to church, where Neil wasn't only the priest but possibly God itself... ;)

Setlist:

01. Love And Only Love
02. Powderfinger
03. Psychedelic Pill
04. Walk Like A Giant
05. Hole In The Sky
06. Heart Of Gold (solo – acoustic guitar)
07. Blowin' In The Wind (solo – acoustic guitar)
08. Singer Without A Song
09. Ramada Inn
10. Cinnamon Girl
11. F*!#in' Up
12. Mr. Soul
13. Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)
---
14. Like A Hurricane (Insane version!! LOUDEST Guitars I have ever felt...the drones and feedback...the whole audience was in shock or awe... :) )
15. Roll Another Number

I had this discussion with a friend last night. I said I like ALL of his records, and that I can defend all of them. Each and every one of them was made with a certain artistic reason, and each of them was in some way inspirational. He thought NY made some terrible terrible uninspired records...I disagreed. I agree that not all attempts are succesfull but atleast there's some idea behind it. For instance..Dylan did made some uninspiring records the last 30 years orso, 'Time out of Mind' is the only one since 'Blood on the Tracks' that added something to his catalogue imo. NY keep adding interesting records to his astonishing body of work...

My good/better/best list...:

Best:
-Everybody Knows this is nowhere
-After the Gold Rush
-Harvest
-Time Fades Away
-On the Beach
-Tonights the Night
-Zuma
-Rust Never Sleeps
-Ragged Glory
-Sleeps With Angels
-Mirrorball
-Silver & Gold
-La Noise

Better:
-American Stars 'n Bars
-Comes a Time
-Trans
-Freedom
-Harvest Moon
-Greendale
-Living With War
-Praire Wind
-Chrome Dreams
-Fork in the Road
-Psychedelic Pill

Good:
-Neil Young
-Long May You Run
-Hawks & Doves
-Reactor
-Everybody's Rockin
-Old Ways
-Landing on Water
-Life
-This Note's for You
-Broken Arrow
-Are You Passionate?
-Americana

Anyone have a copy of Hyperrust in Oslo boot they can share? My ratio at What is pretty dire and I'm not even sure it's there.

Check out this version of Grandpa's Interview

"On The Beach" is the most overrated album in the history of the universe.
