I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Many of you are way more impressed with Jon Snow than I am (as a warrior). Maybe it's me, but I tend to read a negative correlation between leadership abilities and fighting abilities in these books. The best leaders are all competent fighters, but I think the point is that they're not the best, and people follow them for other reasons.
I think his only real advantage is the Valyrian sword, and I'm not sure how much of an advantage that is against someone who is more about fluid movement and fencing over swapping steel and AARRGGH.

Syrio doesn't wear armour, either. Which, while enhancing both his speed and fluidity of movement, is also a huge disadvantage against an armoured opponent with Valyrian steel and a shield. This is a tough one.
