You might not like it quite as much. It just resonated with me in a big way. It tied everything, all the major themes and stylistic choices, together. It just worked from the first shot to the last. So satisfying. For me, anyway. But if you haven't enjoyed the season as much overall, you may not feel that same connection to the material.

I liked it. Worked really well with the themes of the show. And there had to be some sort of payoff. I love that they just fucking went for it. And like others have said, it works because it's not out of left field. They'd done a good job planting it throughout the series.Mecca wrote:that damn UFO really knocked this whole thing down a peg

it does have a payoff, but that doesn't mean i have to like itdurdencommatyler wrote:I liked it. Worked really well with the themes of the show. And there had to be some sort of payoff. Re: TV: Fargo
Yeah, it was much closer in tone to the film, which added a lot for me. And it was terrifying. It was horrible and violent and truly awful (in a good way). Much like the film. The second season was more heady and contemplative and much less frightening. Like you said, different animals.tragabigzanda wrote:Different animals. Freeman and "Biff Tannen" brought a hammy silliness to S1 that I loved.durdencommatyler wrote:Overall, I liked Season One better. Not a knock on season 1, which was fantastic, but I preferred season 2 over 1 by a decent margin.
I really hope this season can keep up with those two.
