Is there a rule established here about armor?

Back to the last Syrio round... Could the guy not throw on some kind of protection if he wanted to?

I understand each person has their own specific weapon(s) that they are skilled with...but what about armor?

I got Khal Drogo in this thing and the knock on him is lack of armor. So fine, he puts on a little armor and then kicks everybody's ass.

He would die from embarrassment.

I think it's best to assume everyone is dressed for combat as they are in the source material. Otherwise, where do we stop? "Jon Snow would obviously win it all because he would have Ghost with him"...

You can find quite a bit of info about all of these characters, i.e. what is known from the books, show, supplement material, so I don think it's necessary to add any what ifs.
