Is GA even worth trying for?
I wanna go to the MSG shows, so Im wondering if I should enter the GA lottery.
The chances aren't THAT bad for MSG, though reserved are certainly better. Im sure more people will enter and it will get worse, right now though there's like a 1/10 shot for GA and 1/4 for reserved....
part of me says just go for GA, because even with less chances, Reserved is the same as just buying tickets from ticketmaster, and GA is a whole new experience you CANT have any other way....
Is GA even worth it? Will I be able to see the band or will just the diehard-camp-outs in front be able to do it? If Imm...say....halfway back, is it better than being in seats, and will it be an amazing experience? I need to know if its even WORTH trying

Does the lottery ruin your chances for seated if you choose GA as 1st choice and then don't get it?
I'd take that into account, and also, this picture taken from where I was standing for the last show in Charlotte.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I would say yes for sure, because they choose from people's first choices first, Im sure there's more than enough people choosing first choice for GA/Reserved at MSG to fill the whole section, so second choice wont even matter most likely.
What is that a picture of? I cant see anything so maybe thats bad

Well, I hope your number's good, because Jason and Brandee were near the front of seating at that same show, and they were fairly far back on the floor.
I'm seeing that Raleigh's chances of getting my tickets has dropped to 47% that bums me out.

To be fair, I went for reserved seating that same tour in Hartford and ended up in the first row behind the GA section, which was perfect.B wrote:Does the lottery ruin your chances for seated if you choose GA as 1st choice and then don't get it?

That really might be the best ticket in the house.cutuphalfdead wrote:To be fair, I went for reserved seating that same tour in Hartford and ended up in the first row behind the GA section, which was perfect.B wrote:Does the lottery ruin your chances for seated if you choose GA as 1st choice and then don't get it?

Hm, the website claims reserved are "all better than ticketmaster"
wouldnt on the floor behind GA be one of the WORST seats in the house? You'd be level with tons of people unable to see a thing.

No, they all surge forward, so you're actually sitting behind a big open space of floor.

At the Barclay center I did the reserved seating and was towards the front of the second tier. Great view.

Re: Is GA even worth trying for?
By second tier do you mean the 200's? at Barclays those are WAY higher than the 100's....(I know this is MSG but now Im skeptical of the seats actually being the best seats)
I hope you mean the 100s, because if not, I really wish I put in for the GA lottery. I went for Reserved in the end but if Im fighting for 200's section and floor seats so far back its gonna be hard to see the band, I feel like its not worth it. Its too late now to change but maybe I should have done GA. I just figured if you're not near the front you coudlnt even see the band. They arent THAT high up are they?
I only joined ten club in 2013, so I probably have the back of the line, but they said all the reserved tickets are better than the TM ones, so I thought it was a good deal for the higher chances (10% vs 25%)

Re: Is GA even worth trying for?
Hm actually can I change it? It said you can til 10am Pacific, isnt that in 1.5 hours?
But the page says "This ticket draw is currently running. You will be notified when the final drawing has been made." Has it always said that?
I can cancel the entry and put a new one in still so maybe I should.
The odds are 8% vs 19%...both are low....but if GA is like amazing, and my only chance to do it, SHOULD I put in for GA? Quick people help!

I'd go for the big play myself in your situation.mikejasond wrote:Hm actually can I change it? It said you can til 10am Pacific, isnt that in 1.5 hours?

Is GA good though? You can see no matter where you stand?

Re: Is GA even worth trying for?
Have you ever been to any concert with GA before? You are all on the floor. How tall are you? If someone taller than you gets in front of you, chances are you won't be able to see. But the stage is always generally high enough for everyone to see, yes.mikejasond wrote:Is GA good though? You can see no matter where you stand?

Depends on your height.mikejasond wrote:Is GA good though? You can see no matter where you stand?
When they separate it in 2 sections, the one closest to the stage tends to be much more comfortable than one would expect if you stay out of the area where people push to be closest to the center of the stage. At least this was my experience in Europe.
