Have we reached the Star Wars over-saturation yet?

I doubt we're more than six years from Star Wars being just another franchise.

I don't care about this movie at all. So I read some rumored spoilers. Apparently some people saw an early screening and are talking. If what I read is true, this movie has a ton a great ideas in it.

Like 4 movies worth of ideas, all slammed together. There were at least 4 major fight sequences implied there, of increasing stupidity.

This movie could still be great, but only if Rick Moranis was playing Superman. No other changes to aesthetic or tone. Just Moranis.

Rick Moranis hasn't done anything since the early to mid '00's. Would be one hell of a comeback story.

He released an album of Jewish folk songs like 3 years ago.

I agree that there were some cool ideas in there, but like McP said--it was a LOT for one movie. Fortunately it has a Peter Jacksonesque run time!

There's also the problem of invulnerable people fighting each other over and over again. It makes things tedious.
