That the new story had the FA characters in more peripheral roles and the story is being adjusted to make them more central, given their incredible success.

Rian Johnson is a good writer. He will make the adjustments, and most of us aren't ready to be done with Rey, Finn, Poe, etc.

They probably just realized that Mark Hamill was too fat to have a leading roll.

Maybe the first scene of VIII is Rey killing Luke for deserting her when she was a kid.

I was gonna say that we'd all be pissed if Empire was originally all about Lando and then they had to go back and write in the new hope characters, but then I realized how awesome that would have been

I don't get this. He doesn't look all that overweight to me. It's not like they need him to do stunts or shoot a shirtless training montage.

If you're talking about a grilled panini (or occasionally a sub roll) with ham, pork, pickles, mustard, and cheese -- that's just called a Cuban, or sometimes a Cubano...

...and this was easily the most excited I've been about this thread. This has more to do with my love for Cuban sandwiches than any sort of Star Wars superiority complex.
Cuban sandwiches are so damn good.
Do you think that in Cuba they are just called "sandwiches"?
Sanduches, to be precise
