Yeah, I'd much rather they played Mansfield or the Fleet Center than Fenway. I don't go to concerts to see the venue.

Plenty of "VEDDER 10" Red Sox jerseys at this show.Strat wrote:Then you also have to listen to more of vedders drunked up sports ramblings

Speaking of the Fenway shows, did they announce an on-sale date for them yet?

We'll assume the answer to #2 is no.96583UP wrote:
1) DOES RICKY RAMONE STILL WORK FOR THE BAND??
2) HAS JEFF RESOLVED HIS DIARRHEA PROBLEM??
But as far as #1 - seriously - does anyone know? Who was handing Ed his guitar during Sirens in the South American tour?
And did any PJ fans bring back the Zika virus from the Brazil shows?
?

I can think of no greater humanitarian act than to sabotage Sirens. We should have fundraised for the man.

Buncha 50-year-old jagoffs, eh?E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah, the band was complaining that all the people in the front rows were lame and just standing there. Long ago none of that mattered. You sent your postcard in. You got selected or you didn't. Then you showed up early if you could and waited in line to get even better seats.
I don't want to do that anymore but that was legit.
This all changed because the pit jamily put up such a stink about how old members have seen too many shows and are lame up front.
I'm fine with spreading the love but i think you should still be able to see both shows in these cities.
Honestly that sounds like that last couple times I saw Counting Crows. Everyone up front just stands there with their smartphone out recording.

So I'm assuming this same logic applies to Wrigley then too?cutuphalfdead wrote:Because it's not a concert venue. uh, yes. I believe PJ Wrigley in 2013 sold out fastest of any act ever.bluestate wrote:So I'm assuming this same logic applies to Wrigley then too?cutuphalfdead wrote:Because it's not a concert venue. Yeah, that's the only reason why I was seriously considering it... but I might prefer to see an actual baseball game there insteaddprival78 wrote:might try for fenway, even though i prefer my venues smaller rather than bigger. as a yankee fan, i still have never been there.. maybe this will finally get me there.

N2 of Fenway and Wrigley are Sundays. I can't wait for them to walk out on stage at 8:30 for a 7:30 start time, have it start pissing rain, and then only be able to come back for 30 minutes or so because of a curfew that they have trouble moving because the next day is a weekday.

Re: Pearl Jam 2016 North American tour
While I agree there is some truth to the gimmick element of historic baseball stadiums, I can't rail against it too hard. Inevitably, those types of venues are better for visiting fans just in regards of.. other things to do around. If you're at a suburban ampitheatre, there usually arent dozens of walkable bars, hotels, etc. Which makes Chris's Sunday point all the more baffling.
