Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of that episode. Even the one good sketch, the second wife, was actually just the same one good joke three times.

Above average show but one of the greats. I laughed out loud several times during the Meet Your Second Wife Sketch, I thought was on of the best in a while as well. McKinnon's bit during Weekend Update was good but mostly because of her trying not to crack. I would like to see Maya host again too.
Loved the goodbye segment to close. I always like those anyway but this one was particularly special.
Was there any Christmas specific sketches? I don't remember.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Well Australia is a couple decades behind so I'm pretty sure you're watching Norm MacDonald on the Update desk.

Tried getting back into SNL but it's just not consistent enough. One or two good skits sprinkled around a lot of painfully average routines. The weekend update is still pretty good but the cameos from everyone else on weekend update can ruin it.

Pharaoh's impressions were a great example of their lackluster writing. Instead of building a clever sketch through which he could display his (admittedly amazing) impressions organically, they simply had him go through a barely-connected monologue of impressions, at the end of which he said, "I made it all up." I mean, what? What a waste of his talent.

Yep. Great impressions that didn't go anywhere. That could have been something special if it actually built to a joke or well, anything at all.

So you've let the whole donut licking, I hate America thing go?

She is a fantastic host. Her Jennifer Lawrence was spot on.

Also, Jay Pharoah's Jay-Z was fucking crazy.
