Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Very nice take, friend. And it helps me with the final moment a bit. So thanks for that.

I desperately wanted quiet in those final moments. No music. Just the sounds of the wind and the trees and the grass. I thought that would have been powerful and profound. The score at the end bugged me. But your interpretation makes good sense.
Exactly.

it had a bit of an odd flow to it, i don't think disjointed is the right word but i'm not sure the best word to call it...i didn't feel the tenseness of what was at stake like i felt i should have either

i also would have like more insight about the motivation of hanks' character
