Not that anyone should care. It's the fucking Grammys.

Of course, it's not even about caring. It's just, if you bother doing it, do it right.

Gaga's music is better than like 75% of the bands people talk about on RM

I have liked some of Lady Gaga's songs -- "Alejandro," "Telephone," "Bad Romance," "Just Dance," and especially the Stuart Price remix of "Paparrazzi." I didn't care for any of the "Born This Way" stuff, and can't recall if I've heard anything since.

I really love War on Drugs, though.

I sure wish Annie Clark was doing a Bowie tribute. That's a missed opportunity.

She's more Marilyn Manson than David Bowie. She's an unremarkable singer getting by on the tamest of shock value while making music that sounds like a copy of a copy of a copy of much better material (and in many cases it is a blatant copy). For a gimmick that's supposedly so avant-garde and boundary pushing, why is "her" music so stale and safe?

Dude, Lady Gaga has an incredible singing voice. Maybe that doesn't come through as often in her pop stuff, but she can fucking sing. She's classically trained and her voice is beautiful. Go listen to some of her classical or opera stuff.

I wouldn't say she's original or innovative, but she makes consistently exemplary pop music. "Sexxx Dreams" is a perfect piece of music.

I am indifferent to the National, but the last War on Drugs album hits a deep spot for me (though it certainly took some time to click at that level).

you might not like her but saying she's talentless is moronic. Unless Juilliard accepts talentless 11 year olds.

I'm sure she can hit the notes or whatever but that stopped being very interesting around the time people stopped listening to opera and classical, about a hundred years ago.

And I'm sure many talentless people have went to Juilliard. She wouldn't be the first.
