Lightning Bolt or Backspacer?

I don't think I'm ready to go back and listen to either of these albums. I almost listened to Backspacer today, but saw the songs, and didn't feel like hearing any of them. I'm in a random mode now, so I'll leave it to the random gods to determine if I shall hear songs from it or not.

I'm dead serious about Turning Mist as a closer. It's really grown on me lately, I think it's charming in a sleepy, modest way.

Not to mention "Force of Nature" and "Infallible" -- didn't you once rank those both as the worst of the worst?

Ha, yes.

The live versions of Infallible won me over, consider me a low-key convert.

I'm still pretty ambivalent about Force of Nature but it served a purpose for the tracklisting above (which doesn't necessarily exactly reflect my favourite songs from them two records; I quite like Amongst the Waves for instance).

I love you more and more every day.

Amongst The Waves has always been my favorite song from Backspacer (Johnny Guitar is a close second).

How's this: I just put Amongst the Waves in Lightning Bolt's place in the above mix and now I'm even happier with it.
