I watched it with my dad and little siblings (home for the holidays). My favorite moment was when BB8 rolled up to R2D2 when he woke up, and my dad quietly said to himself "aw, they're friends now."

I did like it. Very much. I made the "official" announcement in LV's thread where he and I discussed movies over Skype.

But then the next day, in this very thread, I posted my vote in the above poll.

Again, after two viewings, I'd put it above all the prequels and Jedi. I'd rank it below ANH, mostly because that was the first one, but I think TFA might actually be a more competent film. It is nowhere near as good as Empire, however.

Wow. Huge screwup noticed. Two actually.
When Finn and Rey respectively have the lightsaber it turns on but neither of them actually hit the on button. Which is in frame both times.

Well Rey can just turn it on with the force, but Finn yeah that's a screwup. Speaking of which, my mom came with us to watch it with my nephews this weekend and she's pretty good with all this stuff. Only thing she really didn't understand was how "the storm trooper fella could work the lightsabre when he wasn't a Jedi". She knows her shit!

Your nephews probably arent allowed slice fruit or vegetables up with a knife , but theyd be able to if they had to, and hurt you with one if they were left with one.

Even Han could figure it out.
