But anyway, I'm still anxiously awaiting the director's cut of Exodus: Gods and Kings.

I just watched White Reindeer. Enjoyable, modest, decidedly awkward exploration of grief. Anna Margaret Hollyman looks distractingly like my ex girlfriend. The Hollywood version of this movie would star Kristen Wiig and Ed Helms and be completely insufferable.

I'm watching Into the Abyss. It's very sad. I don't know why I am doing this to myself.

Yeah, Minority Report was terrific. Wonderfully idiosyncratic.

Just rewatched War of the Worlds. Holy shit, that thing is a masterpiece. Totally terrifying and unflinchingly grim, yet ultimately optimistic and life-affirming. Filled with visceral set-pieces and indelible images. It's Spielberg's 9/11 movie. Overwhelming.

Yeah, I love how well it projects the hopelessness and how quickly but believably things descend in the movie

It feels like the only realistic take on a monster movie scenario. That scene in the basement of the mom's house is so fucking scary, and all they use is flashing lights and sound. Man.E.H. Good movie. I feel like the end was kind of iffy, but it's been a long time.

Yeah, it was great, but it was very depressing. I was really upset about the senselessness of the murders. To think a loved one could be taken from you over something as trivial as a car is a horrible thought.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Into the Abyss is pretty great.

I loved it. I saw it recently and i couldnt believe how good it was. Its captures the paranoia of 9-11 perfectly.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Just rewatched War of the Worlds.
