Yeah, I mean, say what you want about W, but he had a recognizable personality--he could be funny, self-depricating, serious, pious, a straight-shooter cowboy-type...some of these elements may have been a bit concocted, but you could pick him out of a lineup. Jeb! comes off as kiddie-pool shallow when it comes to actual human complexity.

LW never failed to reflect upon any (non-opinion) information I offered on education, regardless of whether or not it fit his worldview. And he remembered much of it, even months later. That impressed the hell out of me, since I spent about five years offering the same statistics over and over again and watching the same people act like it was new and sometimes doubtful information.

I thought LW was a bot that pulled FoxNews talking points out of a data base depending upon keywords in the conversation.

A lot of people wouldn't take public transportation even if it was free. I remember having it out with him one time on this subject.
