I was actually worried about that one.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: Star Wars Awesomeness
Long protracted debate with my pal on FB about bands replacing dead frontmen and continuing (im totally against it and hes all for it, citing cases where its worked well, AIC, FNM etc)
round and round the debate went until i put it to him that he was effectively saying its fine that Lucas replaced the original Anakin force ghost in Return of the jedi, with Hayden Christensen
Boom.
Never bandy words with a Jedi

Not on this one South P. I'll be making it again when Bandai release the 1/27 version. We're all waiting on that.
In the mean time

Just about to say i'm getting pretty good at this, then the words Great kid, don't get cocky popped into my head
just to give you lads an idea of the level of detail Bandai went to on this model, heres an engine insert from the underside of the falcon, with an earphone for scale..

Re: Star Wars Awesomeness
Yeah, some small idea..but i cant even begin to contemplate how people are sucessfully lighting this..
you have to drill tiny holes all around the hull and either drill about 25 in the cockpits back wall plate around the door alone (itsprobably smaller then a 1c coin) and then glue fibre opotic cables into each drill hole..
I'll make it again and light it but as to detail, Bandai win..the other version is by Fine Molds and goes for over $200 and its not as detailed or as accurate as this one(the hull is too fat/hockey pucked shape and the mandibles dont tow in as they should) but for $30 this is an incredible piece of work. which admittedly takes a lot of wor but it's worth it..
i mean lookwhat this guy did with it and remember it's Tiny

no idea how he painted the figures..theyre miniscule!

Yeah, one of the ideas put forward in How Star Wars changed the universe book, is that Star Wars fans hate it as much as they love it.
got a little revenge today..heating up a screwdriver to make blaster scoring on the hull:) theyre not perfect but they will be great once i
do some dry brushing & add texture

these decals are so tiny..there's 4 in this pic and you can barely see em..they're on the model though so it's canon.
