Although I never, ever bet on sports (because I know I would lose), I love watching the lines and shit like that. As I talked about earlier in this thread, opening at CAR -3 was ridiculous, and I wasn't surprised that the line moved to -5.5/-6 most places by the end of this week. Well, apparently tons of money has swung the Broncos way, as the line is inching back to CAR -5. Interesting stuff.

Also, some prop bets:

1. Will Peyton Manning announce his retirement in a postgame interview? Yes +500 / No -1000

2. Will Mike Carey be wrong about a challenge? Yes +110 / No -150

3. Will there be an earthquake during the game? Yes +100 (You can't bet "no" on this one)

4. Will Denver win the Superbowl and Peyton Manning retires, and then the Spurs win the NBA title, and Tim Duncan retires? Yes +2000 (can't bet "no")

Carolina is there because it has been the best team all year in the hardest conference; I do want a close game, but don't see it going that way. Denver's sick defense keeps it from being a total blowout.

31-7, Panthers. Cam is the MVP.

We haven't had an outdoor Super Bowl on the West Coast in a long time; will be cool to see most of the first half played in daylight.

bringing out all the super bowl mvps was fun, but sorta terrible for the nfl currently. all the retired guys were limping pretty badly, even kurt warner.
