IT Guy/Gal Thread

Post by HardTI »

I picture this place having a pretty techie bunch of people in the mix. I like to read technical forms to bounce IT questions and ideas off of. Anyone else work in IT and feel like doing so here?

Right now - I want a Google Apps admin to bounce some questions off of. Google's support just ain't cutting it right now for me.

I'm a SQL Server DBA but obviously that won't help you with Google Apps.

No, you're probably referred to as an ID10T error. Or PEBCAK?

I'm somewhat in IT. I used computers to destroy things and kill people.

I just googled 'grouse' and 'PEBCAK', and I'm not all that thrilled with the results. BUT, since you probably can drain what little there is in my bank accounts and maybe even have me offed, I'm just going to let it go.

PEBCAK was a joke, grouse is a good thing.

But you're 100% correct about the rest. 43 bucks is still 43 bucks.

I was in the theatre in South Africa, and somehow ended up doing web dev stuff in the UK. I basically had to learn HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/SQL while I was creating stuff for this dumbass company who'd hire a guy who clearly said he had no experience there.
