Rumours is such a frustrating album. I goddamn adore a lot of songs on it but then there are those three songs sung by Christine McVie that I don't like at all. Guess I'll just have to pretend it's a 8 song album. 'Second Hand News', 'Don't Stop', 'Go Your Own Way', 'The Chain' and 'I don't want to Know' are all fantastic.

I think Songbird and You Make Loving fun are gorgeous.

I love Blue. Didn't get into any of her other albums, yet. I think I tried Court and Spark but it didn't stick with me.

I hear the same kind of "softness" in her delivery and McVie's.

Yeah, I can see the similarities. Joni just somehow works better for me. Maybe I could tolerate McVie more if I listened to an album of only her songs? On Rumours they kinda stick out and are really not what I'm looking for when listening to that album. It's as if I'm suddenly listening to a different album. Songbird following Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop and Go Your Own Way is weird.

I really like all the Talking Heads albums I listened to but none of them come close to the glory of Remain In Light.

I haven't listened to 77 and Little Creatures enough to rank them and haven't listened to their last two at all yet.

Fear of Music is a challenger for my favorite album of all-time, but it's otherwise really hard for me to choose between their first five albums.
Little Creatures is fun, but not essential. It's a solid sixth place.
True Stories is a miss, but I think that's mainly because those songs weren't written for the band but for Byrne's movie of the same name. And then for me, Naked just doesn't need to exist.

Skylarking is so good. But that band. Wow. Sort of an 80's Flaming Lips.

Big Express is a great example of that. Everyday Story of Small Town.
